Born and raised in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Cunningham is a cum laude graduate majoring in Mass Communications from James Madison University. Local and industry civic affiliations include the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors, Realtors Commercial Alliance, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Leadership Fredericksburg Alumni Association, Fredericksburg Christian Schools and Spotsylvania County Little League. He also attends and serves at LifePoint Church in Fredericksburg.
Cunningham, his wife Jaime, daughter Reagan, and son Noah reside in Fredericksburg.
