Built in 1941, Fort AP Hill is a United States Army training and maneuver center located near Bowling Green, Virginia located in Caroline County. Fort A.P. Hill was named after the Virginia native and Confederate Lieutenant General Ambrose Powell Hill. Each year the massive complex provides realistic joint and combined arms training to thousands of regular military and reserve troops from all branches of the armed forces.
